I know what it’s like to be celebrity obsessed. We follow our faves on Instagram and pour over their lavish lifestyles with a tiny hint of the green monster. After all, their lives look SO amazing, who can blame us? We want to know their secrets: who are they dating, how is their hair is so shiny…and most importantly, what the heck do they eat?!
Like us, celebs love their food, and we love to know what they’re eating. Case in point? A few years back, Kylie Jenner sent the world into a frenzy when she showed us all via social media how to make her famous ramen noodle recipe. And when Jay-Z and Beyonce were seen eating at LA’s vegan restaurant Cafe Gratitude, the whole world seemed suddenly eager to try ditching meat.
I’ve scoured the world wide web to bring to you 30 celeb food faves, and then called upon top food bloggers to give us vegan friendly versions of those dishes.
From basic dinners loved by Justin Bieber and Kim Kardashian to the fancier fare adored by Hugh Jackman and Kristen Stewart, you can now eat like your favourite star.
Celebrity Favourite Recipes: The Vegan Edit
1. Krysten Ritter: Glowing Skin Green Juice
This is one of those celebrity favourite recipes that’s no surprise: green juice.
Krysten Ritter is a huge fan when it comes to juicing, and her go-to foods are lots of greens! But whilst Krysten tends to steer clear of the sweeter ingredients such as apple and agave in favour of kale, spinach, parsley, cucumber and celery, this can taste a little harsh if you’re new to green juicing.
This apple, celery and kale recipe will be just the right amount of sweetness and greens, but gradually over time, you could lessen the apple and add lemon for a more sour flavour.

2. Gwyneth Paltrow: Spicy Cilantro Lemonade
Gwyneth Paltrow is a real advocate when it comes to healthy eating, so it’s no surprise that some of her go-to recipes include a salad, seeded bars and this cilantro lemonade. Here below, Gwyneth has shared her exact lemonade recipe with us. The perfect refreshing pick-me-up, this spicy beverage got only has a beauty-boosting dose of vitamin C and alkalizing lemon juice, but it makes a damn good base for tequila if it happens to be happy hour…just saying!

3. Blake Lively: Eggs Benedict
Blake Lively has spoken out about her own celebrity favourite recipes: eggs Benedict! But we’re giving the dish a vegan makeover. Smoky tempeh is served atop a toasted English muffin, crowned with pan-seared asparagus and smothered in a creamy vegan hollandaise sauce. Still miss the texture of egg? 4. Jennifer Aniston: Nachos
When the Queen of Comedy states that she loves nachos so much, she’d eat them off the floor – you have to be impressed by the girl’s dedication! Whilst Jen likes to make her own before frying them in some coconut oil, we tend to like our nachos a little on the indulgent side, so we’ve got a recipe here for a fully loaded vegan plate. Salty, crunchy tortilla chips are topped with fresh guacamole, black beans and salad and topped with a layer of cashew-less vegan queso.

5. Nick Jonas: Cuban Sandwich
One third of the Jonas trio has claimed his favourite type of sandwich is the Cuban. The traditional ingredients of roast pork, glazed ham and swiss cheese are replaced with… jackfruit! It makes a wonderful mock meat, and works super well in this recipe, giving it hearty, filling vibe. And did I mention there are dill pickles?

6. Emma Watson: Mexican Food
The English beauty that is Emma Watson is a huge fan when it comes to Mexican food, a food passion that food duo hot for food share, too – and we’re sure the Harry Potter star would pretty much adore these breakfast tacos. The scramble is made from tofu, and there’s salsa and vegan sour cream – delicious!

Paul and Linda McCartney have done wonders for the world of veganism – not only have they influenced millions around the world, but they’ve impacted their family, too. No wonder then that one of Stella McCartney’s reported celebrity favourite recipes is avo hummus. Dip your favourite veggie crudites into it, smear it in a sandwich or top it on a salad.

The Wahlberg brothers love a super-retro recipe: macaroni salad! So much so that Mark’s chef brother, Paul Wahlberg, has released the family’s beloved recipe. 9. John Legend & Chrissy Teigen: Fried ‘Chicken’
If you follow Chrissy Teigen on Instagram, then you’ll know full well that mamma loves to cook! And one food that she and husband John Legend both love is fried chicken. I remember well the unique flavourings of KFC; the crispy coated chicken that was made with a secret blend of spices. And this recipe replicates that taste in a 100% vegan fashion, but with all the crispy deliciousness intact.

10. Vanessa Hudgens: Sushi
This is one of those celebrity favourite recipes that’s no surprise. Loads of celebs, including actress Vanessa Hudgens, love sushi. And it’s super easy to make vegan friendly by simply using lots of veggies! If you’re wanting to add a hit of protein, add some tofu tempeh in place of fish. 11. Gigi Hadid & Kendall Jenner: Burgers
As hard as it is to imagine these gorgeous VS models chowing down on an actual burger, they’ve both cited it as their favourite recipe. And what’s not to love when it’s vegan! These thick, lentil burgers are topped with melted vegan cheese, slices of tomato, fresh red onion and then smothered with a creamy avocado ranch sauce.

12. Scarlett Johansson: Buffalo ‘Chicken Wings’
Scarlett Johansson has described herself as ‘addicted’ to buffalo chicken wings, and we think she’d be scarfing down this vegan version pretty easily, too!

Following in his late wife’s footsteps, Paul McCartney is also a huge voice when it comes to giving up meat. Having been vegetarian since 1975, Paul always makes sure there are vegetarian dishes available at his concerts, and one of his favourite recipes is vegan enchiladas.

The Biebs loves some spag bol, and why not? Spaghetti coated in a rich tomato based sauce? Delicious! Here, the minced meat is replaced with juicy, umami-laden mushrooms, helping the dish to develop rich flavours which the spaghetti absorbs. It has all the components that make this dish so well loved, just without using meat.

Justin Timberlake is a self proclaimed foodie. And his favourite dish? A trip to Italy where he feasted on lobster pasta with a Pecorino cheese.
This vegan recipe recreated JT’s favourite dish using hearts of palm in place of seafood, and it fuses together both seafood and cheese in a genius way: vegan ‘lobster’ beer mac and cheese!

This is one of those celebrity favourite recipes that may be a bit of a surprise: Brussels sprouts. But Emma Stone loves them. And what’s not to love? Unlike the mushy vegetable side we’ve all been served at some point, Brussels are wonderful when roasted and make a really delicious meal. And when the sprouts are tossed in a vegan creamy mustard sauce, well, super yum! You can either serve these as a side dish, or throw them on a bed of salad.

So it turns out Obama loves broccoli. I feel you, buddy! But that being said, broccoli can be a little bland on its own. That changes entirely when you turn it into this Thai Broccoli Soup, though! It’s packed full of an infusion of flavours. Made using lemongrass, ginger, chili, shallots and lime, this gorgeous green soup is then lightened with sweet potatoes and coconut milk.

25. Channing Tatum: PB&J Sandwich
Magic Mike star Channing Tatum is one of many who love their faithful PB&J! It was also a favourite of Elvis Presley’s, though that didn’t end to well for his waistline. Watch out, Channing!
We adore this grilled version of the sandwich, where the ooey gooey peanut butter oozes out with the sweet and delicious jam. The perfect comfort food!

26. Kate Middleton: Sticky Toffee Pudding
Just when I thought I couldn’t love Kate Middleton any more, I discover one of her celebrity favourite recipes is sticky toffee pudding. Now, it’s like we’re soul sisters!
This recipe’s moist sponge is made using unsweetened apple puree as opposed to eggs, which balances the sweetness of the dates perfectly. Salted toffee sauce is then drizzled over the sponge and a scoop of plain vanilla ice cream makes the dish complete.
Whilst I can’t speak on behalf of Kate, I personally would give this recipe the royal seal of approval!

27. Kylie Jenner: Candied Yams
Kylie Jenner is pretty nifty when it comes to the kitchen, and she’s hosted a whole load of cooking videos on her official app. Her first one showcased her love of candied yams, and whilst this dish looks pretty vegan friendly, we’re not so sure the marshmallows she used were without animal gelatin. Plus…what’s the point of using organic ingredients when you’re just smothering them in chemical fake maple syrup?

What does the country-turned-pop singer T-Swizzle like to eat? Apparently, a tube of cinnamon rolls are always in her freezer, ready to be enjoyed when those junk food cravings attack. And what’s not to love? Warm buns covered in icing and cinnamon – delicious! This is one of those celebrity favourite recipes we adore, too!

29. LL Cool J: Peach Cobbler
LL Cool J loves his desserts, and one of his favourite recipes is for peach cobbler. This hot treat is crispy on the outside, thanks to the flaky pastry. Then it’s all stuffed with a gorgeous peach filling. Once it’s baked, drop a scoop of vegan ice cream on top for some extra yum!

Mean Girl Amanda Seyfried is actually quite sweet. Because when it comes to celebrity favourite recipes, her choice comes from her mama’s kitchen: pecan balls!
Of course, we don’t have her mom’s recipe. But we do have a great vegan one! It’s sweet, buttery and with a crunchy texture. Plus, these no-bake vegan Pecan Snowballs use dates instead of sugar. Yum!
