Sustainability and fashion are often thought to be at odds with one another, but certainly not at Terra Urbana.
Created by graphic designer Petja Montanez and Slovenian designer Mateja Benedetti, each Terra Urbana collection begins by sourcing materials such as certified organic cotton and silk, peace silk, hemp, bamboo, and salmon leather. Benedetti sketches the loose, flowing, geometric shapes that define the brand, and then on occasion, unique graphic prints are then applied to these by Montanez.
The whole collection will then be assembled in EU ateliers, watched over by the founders of Terra Urbana to ensure ethical working practices.
The result is a high a fashion collection that crosses borders and generations, but always stays true to its environmentally friendly foundations.
