Augustine London is the perfect lingerie brand for women who want their lingerie to support the environment as much as it does their breasts.
The British brand is completely dedicated to sustainability, although it admits “there is no right or wrong answer to sustainability,” and adds that there are “many opportunities to develop unique identities and new creative models.”
Their particular model seems pretty successful to us. It includes using only fabrics that make a minimum impact on the environment; trying to limit their carbon footprint whenever possible, and ensuring all their suppliers have the right certifications.
Using only organic cotton and Tensel, a material made from sustainably managed beech and eucalyptus trees, Augustine aims to manufacture all its products in a ‘closed loop’ system of production, whereby all the water and resources used are reused and recycled.
The brand is best known for its comfortable, daily-use lingerie in classic styles, such as balcony bras, bikini bras and French cut knickers. Entirely made in Europe, each piece of lingerie is actually biodegradable, which also means its natural qualities feel good and healthy against skin—both yours, and his.
