Treat yourself! These natural luxury skincare products really DO work, and are great for all skin types and needs
Writing for various fashion and beauty magazines means that I’ve tried dozens – if not hundreds – of various beauty products. And now, I know what works! I know what has made a serious difference in my skin. And I have even gone out and bought some of the products I was in charge of reviewing. Yep, I liked them that much!
But – what makes a beauty product the best of the best?
Obviously, ingredients count. While very simple ones, like rose water, chamomile and coffee can be very effective indeed, they’re not quite a luxe as caviar, gold and precious gems.
Additionally, to make a beauty product that’s really beyond the norm, cutting-edge technology and stunning (but recyclable) packaging are both musts.
While it may seem a bit decadent to include things like gold and pearl dust in cosmetics, they do have proven benefits. For example, gold is such a powerful anti-inflammatory ingredient that it has been used in the treatment of arthritis.
And pearl, high in calcium and micro-nutrients, has been used both internally and externally for centuries by Asia’s most beautiful women.
Here, we’ve listed our picks of some of the most natural luxury skincare products that we think deserve a glittering five stars for their ingredients, technology and design.
Clean Luxury Skincare Products That Work
1. OSEA Hyaluronic Acid Serum
Hyaluronic Acid is the ideal natural luxury skincare ingredient. It’s essential to good skin care: after all, that’s what dermal fillers are made of!
This moisture boosting serum acts almost as well as fillers, since it smoothes wrinkles and fine lines and replenishes dry, thirsty skin. Hyaluronic Acid is actually nature’s most powerful moisture magnet, and this serum delivers an intense moisture boost that swiftly plumps for a more youthful, dewy glow. In fact, Hyaluronic Acid attracts up to 1,000 X its weight in water, strengthening the skin’s moisture barrier for visibly improved firmness and elasticity.
A synergy of three molecular weights of Hyaluronic Acid and three organic seaweeds work together to guarantee immediate, long-lasting hydration. Age-defying seaweed extracts boost skin with antioxidants, vitamins and minerals.
This high performance serum absorbs instantly, leaving a velvety-soft, luminous finish.
Why I think it’s one of the best natural luxury skincare products: You can genuinely see your skin plump up after the first use. To be honest, that effect goes away in a few hours, but with regular use, you’ll find the effects lasting longer and longer.
Price: $88
2. Subtle Energies Gold Mogra Cream
Subtle Energies makes some of the best natural luxury skincare products on Earth! They also supply them to many top spas around the world. Their rich, creamy Mogra Rejuvenating Gold Cream blend contains rare and exotic ingredients well known for delivering results.
Mogra stimulates cell renewal and promotes collagen production, while Indian rose deeply hydrates the skin, softening and restoring balance, whilst making this product smell simply divine.
But the most luxurious ingredient here is 24K gold, known as a powerful anti-ageing and anti-inflammatory ingredient, crucial in reviving vitality in the skin.
These exquisite ingredients blend with the ancient Indian healing power of Ayurveda to make a real difference to the health of your skin. Of course, they come housed in – you guessed it – an elegant gold canister.
Why I think it’s one of the best natural luxury skincare products: This cream is deeply rich and hydrating. The gold content also helped me get rid of redness in my skin, which sometimes flares up when I’m cold or in a polluted environment.
Price: Around $310
3. Ambuja Overnight Eye Cream
Of all the luxurious natural skincare brands, Ambuja may be one of the most indulgent.
It’s produced in Germany utilising high tech molecular biochemistry along with the purest most potent botanicals. Ambuja products are based on either lotus water or green coconut water, and are all made without preservatives, parabens, synthetic fragrances, colorants, sulfates, mineral oils, silicone. Of course, they never test on animals.
Two highly renowned products within the Ambuja Empire Collection are Urban Foam, a cleanser packed with antioxidants, and Overnight Eye Cream, which not only protects but also prevents collagen breakdown while providing natural elasticity.
But their star product is probably their Overnight Eye Cream. This is an age-defying cream which leaves skin smoother and with fewer visible wrinkles.
The packaging the brand uses is also wonderful, and evokes both high-tech pod budding open to reveal the treasure within.
Why I think it’s one of the best natural luxury skincare products: I started using this eye cream because I noticed my eyes were looking a bit tired, even when I didn’t feel so. I also had minor flaking in winter on my eyelids. This cream sorted that out, with zero irritation.
Price: Around $200
4. UMA Oils Honey Rose Cleanser
UMA Oils’ 100% organic formulae are wonderful, no matter which product you choose. But one of our favourites has to be their Absolute Anti-Aging cleanser.
It smells like a dream, thanks to the rich Rose and Frankincense oils, Turmeric and Honey ingredients. Naturally exfoliating Oats are also included here to eliminate dry, flaky skin and dissolve the day’s makeup and grime.
I love how my skin looks all fresh and dewy after using this! And since its contents are so natural you can practically eat it, this cleanser works on even the most sensitive of skins.
Why I think it’s one of the best natural luxury skincare products: It’s really easy to use – all you need is a cotton or cloth. Makeup just dissolves off, and your skin feels super dewy afterwards. I personally don’t use a moisturiser after using this, except maybe in winter.
Price: $65
5. Ren Rose Gold Perfect Dry Oil
When it comes to summertime skin, there’s nothing more luxurious than a gorgeous glow, but given the dangers of the sun, it’s best to find a bit of cosmetic help. Given all the carrot-toned tanners and glitter-filled lotions on the market, it’s no easy task to find products that can achieve a more natural effect. So thank goodness for the release of the new Ren Rose Gold Perfect Dry Oil!
The latest addition to the award-winning Moroccan Rose range, this oil is every bit as rich and heavenly scented as the rest of the line. It’s formulated with 100% naturally derived actives ethically harvested in the Atlas Mountains. Rare ingredients such as rose Damascena oil leaves skin sublimely soft, nourished and healthy. Omega 6 Linoleic Acid and Cranberry Seed Oil work to soothe and protect, defending your body against oxidative stress after UV exposure.
And the best part? The stunning golden glass bottle. It looks more like it should be hosting perfume than oil!
Why I think it’s one of the best natural luxury skincare products: This oil goes on more like a lotion. It’s absolutely non-greasy, and makes your whole body smell amazing!
Price: $60
6. Oskia Super 16 Serum
This serum is cult favourite. And of all the natural luxury skincare products here, it’s one of my favourites – with good reason! It’s packed with luxurious ingredients including 16 super nutrients and bio-actives. These are designed to boost collagen synthesis, lift and firm the skin, and reduce fine lines.
Designed for all skin types, this is one of the most effective natural luxury skincare products. And that’s mainly because it contains a new ground-breaking ingredient!
Hailed as nature’s equivalent of retinol – but suitable for sensitive skin – it’s called Bakuchiol. It’s made from ground Indian Babchi seeds, which have been traditionally used for centuries to heal cuts. Here, this wonder ingredient is added to repair the signs of ageing in the skin, and to prevent further damage.
But that’s not all! The serum also features Collageneer. This is a patented active ingredient derived from White Lupin seed coatings. It can not only increase the synthesis of Type I collagen (the most abundant collagen, which diminishes with age), but also to promote production of a high quality collagen that gives the skin its firmness and elasticity.
Why I think it’s one of the best natural luxury skincare products: It’s pretty hard to find a vegan skincare product that boosts your skin’s collagen production. But this one does. While I myself couldn’t prove that my collagen was boosted, the brand provides plenty of evidence that shows the serum does.
Price: Around $95
7. Onsen Infinity Capsules
Get an instant lift with this super-luxurious skin enhancement. Housed in a glamorous, glittery coppery box, this easy-to-use syringe releases a cream that perfects the skin and freezes in place, leaving your skin lifted and smooth, thanks to an ultra-powerful tri-peptide and micro-algae complex with a concentrated cocktail of minerals, carbohydrates, micronised silica and amino acid. The instant tightening is so strong, it feels a bit like a mini facelift!
Inspired by the beauty factors derived from the Mother of Pearl, Onsen’s Timeless Pearl Collection features products that are developed and based on the extracts of pearls.
These are known to suspend the process of ageing, bringing rich vitality to the skin, improving metabolism, supporting smaller pores and protecting against damaging environmental factors. No nasty chemicals are added to any of their anti-ageing formulae.
Why I think it’s one of the best natural luxury skincare products: The way this is packaged makes it easy to ‘dose’ and fun to use. I personally felt my skin tighten up immediately, though it was a bit of a waste as I put this on before bed.

8. XYZ Smart Collagen Cream
The secret ingredient here is the leaf sap of the South African plant Bulbine frutescens. It contains two powerful compounds that have been scientifically proven to slow the rate of collagen breakdown in the dermis and increase collagen production – without triggering the body’s natural immune response that would interfere with the process and lead to low quality collagen overload.
Comprised of all natural ingredients scientifically selected for their efficiency, this is a highly effective cream that is formulated in compliance with a number of industry standards. XYZ Smart Collagen is a certified organic, natural product made using sustainably grown, raw materials. It is vegan friendly, contains no artificial ingredients, and no mineral, palm or palm kernel oils.
Why I think it’s one of the best natural luxury skincare products: Apart from being entirely ‘clean’ and plant based, this product is great for one other main reason. Namely, I loved how it immediately hydrated my skin, and left it glowing and dewy.

I use an HA serum, and it has now become a staple of my skincare routine. It is so hard to find products that work, but now that I have a set, I don’t ever deviate. I feel like the HA helps to make my skin feel smoother and keep it young looking. I talked to my dermatologist about it and he recommended the line since I have sensitive skin. So glad there are other natural products out there that can help.
