Svilu was born out of a desire by founders Britt Cosgrove and Marina Polo to create beautifully and sustainably made wardrobe staples for women who prefer eternal style over passing fashion. The duo use environmentally sensitive fabrics such as organic cotton, Tencel, modal and Cupro whenever possible, and employ digital printing techniques to save the environment from toxic dye.
Svilu’s AW14 campaign features urban hipster knits, cropped jeans, deconstructed kilts and sapphire blue blouses, as shown in this Dutch Masters inspired shoot, by A Boy Named Sue. Florist and model, Gemma Hayden Blest and jewellery store the9thMuse collaborated to celebrate Svilu‘s love for tartan, rich colour, and crewneck sweaters.
Made in America with a slightly Scandinavian vibe, Svilu can be bought on line here.
