“Designing a Dress or Creating a Dream” – is the vision behind the brilliant eco bridal dresses created by haute couture designer Sohad Acouri. His ethereal luxury bridal gowns are absolute perfection!
Since 2000, this Dubai-based Lebanese designer has been creating opulent gowns full of elegance, which has been adorned by the most beautiful royal women in the Gulf Region.
Sohad Acouri White was launched in 2012, offering a collection of bespoke haute couture bridal gowns. Although there are numerous excellent couture dress designers from the region, including Elie Saab, Reem Acra, Furne Amato, Rami al Ali and Zuhair Murad to name a few, Acouri stands out in that unlike the others, his gowns are beautifully sustainable.
An Eco-Green Dubai nominee, Acouri only uses eco-friendly fabrics in his couture gowns, including organic silk and cotton. He also ingeniously reuses the remaining textiles from his previous collections, and transforms them into innovative new designs.
Acouri’s attention to detail, use of fine fabrics and ornate styles have given him a strong international following. His couture has graced the catwalks of Europe, and earned him an Ingredient Branding Partnership with lead-free crystal brand Swarovski Elements, for which he’s created some truly opulent couture gowns.
His latest project is a unique collaboration with KayfTV.com where the designer himself gives brides-to-be tips on how to select their dream bridal gown.
With a name that means ‘Sleepless’, Acouri is a restless visionary who is constantly working on his next masterpiece by weaving his unique inspirations into each design – capturing the essence of the bride’s most precious day.
