Sustainable style is the philosophy behind British brand Cock & Bull Menswear.  Based in trendy East London, the dedicated menswear line is based on sustainable yarns like cotton, linen and wool, producing designs that are classic but cool. These are meant to be  wardrobe staples that can be depended upon season after season.
Founders Phil Scott and A A Lindsay wanted to create a 100% ethical brand that was 100% dedicated to men: “As a consumer, I was frustrated by the poor design of sustainable menswear. Many boutiques are primarily for women, with  menswear ‘tagged on’ as an afterthought.  But  there are plenty of men who want to stand up and be counted. There are many of us amongst the growing movement of people who don’t want to exploit others or pollute ecosystems for what we wear. So  Cock  &Bull  & Co was developed as a place to offer men options, to bring together design-led pieces produced with both ethics AND aesthetics in mind,” says Phil.
Apart from their sustainability and hip designs, the brand takes great pride in being fully British based, and every step of creation, from  weaving yarns for their jersey t-shirts, boxer briefs and GDTs, to colouring, printing, knitting and sewing–is done with a team of  local, experienced artisans and producers to help with every stage of production.
But despite this fierce Britishness, Cock and Bull also stress that they take sartorial cues from all corners of the globe: contemporary culture, politics and art are all added to and blended with British culture and tradition to create garments that capture the spirit, Â timelessness, quality and durability of old world charm while also encompassing sustainability.
And for us, it seems only fitting that this Earth-friendly brand takes its inspiration from all corners of the planet.
