WIN A Pair Of Silver Earrings By Handmade Stories

Stunning handcrafted Chrysocolla and 950silver triple stone earrings by HANDMADE STORIES, the slow fashion brand, helping artisans and women in rural communities in the Peruvian Andes. The Chrysocolla stone is known for its balancing properties, helping to ease fear, anxiety, and guilt, and bring hope, the perfect companion for that special event where you’ll definitely shine.

As an ethical fashion label, HANDMADE STORIES make beautiful, quality clothing and accessories for women. They stand up for communities underserved by the establishment and society, providing them with a fair income, helping them keep their traditions alive and achieve economic independence.

During the Covid-19 pandemic HANDMADE STORIES partnered with a father and son team of traditional jewellery makers, who ran a small workshop. Due to the pandemic their business had to close, forcing them to find work elsewhere.

Through HANDMADE STORIES,Leonardo and his son Luis Alberto have been able to reopen their workshop and employ other Andean based artisans who also found themselves out of work. Luis Alberto works the 950 Peruvian silver, while his father Leonardo polishes the stones and shells. As every piece is handmade, each piece is unique.

HANDMADE STORIES was born when the pandemic hit in 2020, advertising executive Elena Brook-Hart Rodriguez left her job in London to volunteer in Peru with local Andean artisans. When the organisation was forced to close during the pandemic all volunteers flew home however Elena decided to stay and start HANDMADE STORIES in order to continue supporting rural communities,

Though Handmade Stories started in Peru the brand aims to reach out further to other disadvantaged communities around the world helping to improve the lives of people in many other places. Step by step making a difference together.
