Faberge: the Art of Colour

Fabergé The Art of Colour Behind the Scenes 4

By Chere Di Boscio

After teaming up with ethical gem miner, Gemfields, Fabergé, the iconic jeweller, has been bestowed with a wider palette of coloured gemstones than ever before.

Faberge: The Art of Colour, photographed by Camilla Åkrans, showcases coloured stones in the bedazzling, multi-gemstone Emotion rings; playful signature egg pendants; the distinctive Treillage collection and brilliant candy coloured cocktail rings.

Each exquisite piece boasts enthralling coloured gemstones such as emeralds, sapphires, rubies, spinels and tsavorites, and including precious coloured gemstones by Gemfields.

Adding stones from Gemfields means Faberge knows that the origins and processing of every dazzling gem is completely transparent and trackable, and the extraction of each stone was done in a manner that made as little impact on the earth as possible.

We love this new Faberge collection and their new dedication to sustainability. Our only complaint is its name: given the brand’s shiny new eco-credentials, perhaps ‘The Art of Ethics’ would be even more appropriate?
