The 2R armchair is a simple and sustainable creation.
Featuring bold side pillars, this piece of furniture features the use of a highly under-rated material: salmon skin.
This unusual leather provides the basis for the cushion, whilst lenga wood forms the frame.
The chair’s designer, Javier Ramirez, comes from Chile, and used indigenous materials to make the 2R armchair. The result is a sophisticated and elegant expression against an otherwise minimal frame.
Although the chair gives off a delicate air, the handcrafted joints, precision material bonds and the toughness of salmon skin make this one strong, stable, and sustainable piece for any chic home.
