The weather is heating up in most places, and for many of us, that means one thing: the beach! And of course the beach is more fun when you’re clad in a bikini that shows off your every curve.
We presented Vanessa Rivers‘ first collection of swimsuits last year, but this year the designer has partnered with ECONYL and 1% For The Planet to create an amazing new sustainable line called SummerLove.
Made in the USA, these sexy bikinis are constructed from an advanced, sustainable fabric that is superior to regular swimwear fabric in so many ways: its superior shape retention, superior resistance to sustain cremes and oils and excellent UV protection all provide outstanding coverage, eliminating the risk of being see-through. The fully recycled material is luxuriously soft, and each set comes in a reusable organic cotton swimwear bag, too.
Vanessa is enthusiastic about this development: “this swimwear fabric made with ECONYL, is going to revolutionise the swimwear industry,” she says. “Eventually all swimwear fabric will be made with this ECONYL fibre or similar regenerated fibres. Swimwear lasts longer when it’s made with it, preforms better and leaves a smaller carbon footprint on the Earth”.
We really don’t need more convincing to don one of these brightly coloured beauties…just a few more degrees on the thermostat, please!
