Let’s admit it: this is the time of year when a bit of overindulgence can result in a bit of a pudgy middle and larger behind, but no worries–Laene Scandinavia is here to help!
Launched by Heidi Helavirta and Anette Cantagallo, friends who met at The London College of Fashion when they studied for their Masters in Fashion Design and Technology in 2009, the pair have created a capsule collection of fashionable, hi-tech, low-impact garments made for sports, everyday, and special occasions.
Garments are constructed from the intelligent botanic fibreTencel, which is organically farmed from eucalyptus trees. Tencel’s heat controlling and moisture managing properties are better than any synthetic fibre on the market, creating a comfortable fit akin to a second skin. It is antibacterial, anti-odour, easy to wash and dries fast, so there is no need for tumble drying or dry-cleaning.
The garments are tag-free and 3D knitted seamlessly with high-tech machines so they have no restricting, irritating seams. The fabrics are customised to each garment with mesh for areas requiring ventilation and strong knit for areas requiring support – giving all the garments a unique look.
With minimalist and functional Scandinavian design, along with rather form fitting cuts, these clothes are made for those with fitness in mind, and so will surely provide the perfect motivation for getting into the gym, even on the coldest, snowiest of days.
