Loas born Hien Le graduated from the University of Applied Sciences in Berlin, thinking he’d like to work as a tailor, but after several years working for French Marie Claire and Veronique Branquinho in Antwerp, his creative impulses kicked in and he decided to launch his own company.

Le’s debut collection was shown at Berlin Fashion Week in the summer of 2010, and was a hit with critics and customers alike. His third collection was even more of a success, and gained him third prize in the “Start your Fashion Business” competition in July 2011. He was also nominated “Best Newcomer” by the international fashion trade magazine Sportswear International for his discreet cuts and the subtle application of details.

Today, he is focused on sustainability in fashion for both men and women, using mainly cotton and silk fabric dyed naturally in his home country, Germany. We particularly love the slim cut, transparent silk tie-dye blouses he’s recently created–they look fabulous both under a suit, or thrown over a pair of shorts or jeans.

He also uses vegan leather in some of his collections, though this is the polyester based kind that Eluxe doesn’t consider to be eco-friendly. Still, his dedication to animal welfare and the planet, as well as his delicately tailored designs, have made him one of our favourites.
