Eluxe Staff Christmas Beauty Gifts Wish Lists

By Eluxe Staff

Ever wonder what Beauty Editors ask for Christmas? What those who really know the industry have on their wish lists?

We here at Eluxe receive dozens upon dozens of beauty products every month, and have tried and tested literally hundreds of different items over the course of the year. We know what we like, and what works…and of course, those products are on the tops of our Christmas beauty gifts wish lists.

Here they are–you may want to add a few of these to your own letters to Santa!

Sophia Hussain, Beauty Editor

For me, holiday beauty is about discovering new feminine indulgences in chic minimalist design – and inspired by roses, gold, and sweet treats.

Rosense Rose Water

A coveted beauty secret for achieving ethereal glowing skin is using rose water.  This fragrant water tonic is top of my gift wish list because it is housed in a pretty pink bottle and contains only natural ingredients:  purified water, distilled rose water, and rose oil.

Abellie Intense Nourishing Cream

This organic-certified cream is perfect for freezing winter nights. It contains royal jelly produced by honeybees, which helps boost collagen production to promote youthful skin.  Housed in a minimalist white jar with a cute gold bee motif, this is one elegant gift I’d love to receive.

Intensae Nail Enamel

I’d love to accent gold rings with sparkling gold almond-shaped nails tips.  Muse is an intense, multi-tonal gold hued, micro particles infused in clear nail enamel.  Apparently, the muse for this hue was Italian designer Donatella Versace too.   Intensae is vegan-friendly and 5-free containing no formaldehyde, dibutyl phthalate (DPT), toluene, formaldehyde resin, and camphor.

UND Gretel Lipstick

Nude lipstick is my best look for anytime of the year, and this Apricot shade is the perfect nude lipstick hue for me. Housed in a sleek white tube, it’s also got moisturising organic avocado oil, babassu butter, and vitamin E to keep lmy ips looking healthy too.

Undergreen Perfume

I love this feminine Pink Classic Edition eau de parfum! It contains a fusion of natural essential oils, containing top notes of orange, elemi essence and lemon, descending into the heart of rose, strawberry, pear, and clove, with the finale base notes of vanilla, caramel, praline and cedar wood–it blends in with my skin to smell amazing!

Chere Di Boscio, Editor in Chief

For me, de-stressing is what I look forward to the most at holiday time, even more than gifts! So no surprises that at the top of my list is a massage…

Phyts Full Body Massage: There’s a Phyts salon just beside my flat in Paris, and they do the most intense full body massages using only natural oils. A gift certificate for a few hours here would make me very happy indeed!

Neom bath oil is one of my very faves: I love the Sweet Basil scent, and it really is a deliciously dense, very hydrating oil. It also comes in a lovely, diamond-shaped bottle.

Cire Trudon are some of my favourite candles in the whole world, especially the Ottoman scent. They use the same all-natural recipe they’ve used for centuries, and they never, ever leave a black smoke burn.

I’m also slightly obsessed with Subtle Energies skincare, and hate that it’s only available in Australia. So getting a bunch of products from them would be a very special gift indeed.

I’m really trying to downsize my life, so I don’t actually want any bulky Christmas gifts or new clothes at all. The only things i would put on my wish list are what I could fit into my handbag, like:

Lite+Cycle candles are as  as they come: basic vegetable wax is scented with 100% eco-extracted essential oils to form the most organic candles around. I particularly love the Urban Forest scent. I’d surround myself in the bath with these, and it could almost make me happy it’s winter…

Sacred Self Perfumes remind me of my childhood: they’re in a roll on bottle, just like Bonnie Bell used to make (it’s a generational thing!), and come in aromatherapy based scents that seriously lift the spirits. My choice would be I Love My Mind: I use this at my computer to allow the peppermint, lemon and chamomile oils to energise and lift me up a bit!

Tiziana Terenzi Perfume The Gold Rose Oudh scent came across the Eluxe desk last year, and now I am fully addicted! I bought a bottle last year and it’s almost gone…if anyone who is planning to gift me something for Christmas this year, this is top of the list!

Like Sophia, I’m a bit of a mani/pedi addict, so I am hoping my stocking will come stuffed with plenty of little bottles.

My favourite brand is probably Priti NYC, because they’re 5-free and have a huge variety of colours. I also love Tuesday in Love and Inglot–I’m particularly into reds that are so dark, they’re almost black, for winter only, of course.

I would love some rich hand cream, and I think Odylique’s Olive Oil balm and Sante Bio-Goji & Olive Handcreme are two of the richest and best out there. But for true indulgence, I’d love to get a Kimia Skincare set, or an entire Dr Haushka Rose Cream set. Oh, and speaking of Rose, REN’s Moroccan Rose Bath Oil is always very nice to receive!

As the only guy on staff, I don’t really go in for beauty products as much as the girls! But I do like Abel Vintage cologne, which smells a bit spicy and isn’t too strong, and I could always use some facial cream for the dry Canadian winters. I do prefer organic brands, but I don’t particularly have a favourite yet. Maybe someone could get me a gift set? (Jody: we’d recommend asking for Willow Organics Men’s Kit–ed.)

What I really, really DO want for Christmas is a solar charger for my phone that sticks onto a window. It may not be a beauty product, but it is a ‘beautiful’ product!
